Through The Andrew Dougherty Vision Foundation, cataract surgeon Dr. Paul Dougherty donated his time to perform cataract surgery on this patients left eye. Throughout the year Dr. Dougherty is known for donating his time to provide vision correction services to patients who otherwise would not be able to correct their vision. Below is this patients story.

Dr. Paul Dougherty:

What was your vision like prior to your procedure?

Patient:

I was blind in one eye before the surgery. Glasses couldn’t even help my vision.

Dr. Paul Dougherty:

How long had you been needing your procedure? Tell us about your story about your life with your vision quality as it was.

Patient:

Started having blurry vision 10 years ago. I live in San Diego county but hasn’t had a permanent home in many years.

Dr. Paul Dougherty:

What are you planning to do with your new vision after your procedure?

Patient:

I read a lot of novels and would struggle on each page due to blurry vision. I look forward to reading a book without my vision slowing me down.

THANK YOU to the Andrew Dougherty Foundation for gifting new vision.

This patient gave Dr. Dougherty and the office a thank you card. Really appreciated how easy it was to reach out to us and we agreed to help without any hesitation. He said the staff was nothing but nice and friendly and made him feel welcomed. “I feel blessed to have this surgery, given my situation.”
