Soseh Markarian, O.D.

Sub Title

Dr. Soseh Markarian immigrated to the United States after high school and attended the California State University at Northridge, where she graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Chemistry. While conducting post-graduate research, she worked for various optometrists and ophthalmologists, where she cemented her commitment to optometry.

Dr. Markarian attended Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences and Heritage University in Washington, earning a Master of Arts in Medical Sciences. After graduation, she volunteered for a surgical mission in Uganda, where her team conducted hernia repair and general surgical treatments for residents of Bussi Island with less access to specialized medical care.

She went on to attend optometry school at Western University of Health Sciences in Los Angeles: there, she was a member of the International Optometric Honor Society Beta Sigma Kappa and the president of the Optometry Private Practice Business Club. She then completed an externship at DLV Vision, focusing on cornea and refractive surgery, pre- and post-LASIK and cataract surgery co-management, and glaucoma management.

Dr. Markarian also completed externships at Golden Vision Optometry focused on “Ortho-K” myopia control, East Valley Eye Center focused on primary care, and Eye Care Institute of Los Angeles focused on vision rehabilitation and low vision management.

She has always had a passion for surgical intervention and care. She excels in ocular surgery co-management and was drawn to DLV Vision for that very purpose.

“Nowhere have I witnessed a higher quality of care than at DLV Vision, and I consider it an honor and privilege to be a part of this team,” said Dr. Markarian.

In her free time, Dr. Markarian enjoys traveling, exploring different cuisines, and going to the beach.
