Laser Eye Surgery in Encino
Lasik
One of the most used corrective vision surgeries, LASIK can reduce or even eliminate the need for eyewear for patients with nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism. Our LASIK uses an ultraprecise laser to adjust your eye, which can mean even greater enhancement and recovery, and we’re happy to determine if LASIK is right for you during a consultation at our Encino laser eye center.
Cataract Surgery
As we age, our eyes develop cataracts, which is when the lens in your eye begins to cloud and eventually impair vision. This can only be corrected through cataract surgery, where our surgeons safely remove the cataract and replace the clouded lens with an artificial one — which can even enhance vision.
Cornea Care
The cornea, or front layer of your eye is critical for focusing vision and protecting your inner eye. That also leaves it susceptible to injury or disease. We’re trained to provide complete care to your corneas for issues including keratoconus, pterygium, and corneal infections. Perhaps most commonly, we offer dry eye disease evaluations and personalized treatments for rapid relief and long-lasting solutions.
ICL
Implantable contact lens (ICL) surgery safely places an artificial lens permanently in your eye. This procedure, which doesn’t affect sensitive areas of the eye like the cornea or lens, is an ideal option for patients with nearsightedness who aren’t good candidates for LASIK or other laser eye surgeries.

From the north, take I-5 S south to exit 158 for I-405 S. In 8.4 miles, use exit 63B to merge onto US-101 N toward Ventura Freeway. In 0.4 miles, use exit 19B for Haskell Avenue. Continue for 0.9 miles, then turn right onto Ventura Boulevard. In 0.3 miles, you will pass House of Galbi on your right, and in 0.2 miles more you’ll pass Davenport’s Restaurant on your left. Then, we’ll be immediately to your left.
From the south, take I-405 N north to exit 63A toward Ventura Boulevard. In 0.2 miles, turn left onto Sepulveda Boulevard. Shortly after you turn left, you will pass Whole Foods Market on your right. In 0.5 miles, you will pass Calif. Chicken Cafe on your right: in 0.6 miles more, we’ll be on your left.

My first consultation appointment was in December, and Dr. Dougherty spent 30 minutes on the phone with my parents walking through options afterwards (we decided I’d go with evo ICL instead of LASIK due to my thin corneas and dry eyes). Dr. Dougherty made me feel truly looked after and comfortable! After my consultation I went out of town for a few months so I had to push back my surgery. Christina did an amazing job helping coordinate, arranging pre-op and post-op appointments, and getting me all the info I needed! The entire DLV team was so friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The procedure itself wasn’t painful (I just felt pressure) and the recovery was quick.
