Vuity eye drops is the first FDA approved eye drop to treat age-related blurry vision (presbyopia) in adults. Vuity is pilocarpine 1.25%, which has a proprietary vehicle for improved tolerability compared to other generic pilocarpine formulations.

The drop is used in both eyes, once a day, every morning, takes 15-30 minutes to start working and lasts up to 6 hours.

Who is a candidate for VUITY eye drops?

1. 40-50 year old patient
2. Patients who have multiple glasses (distance, reading, etc) – eliminates multiple pairs
3. Patients with monovision contact lenses or multifocal contact lenses, who need more reading vision
4. Patients who can’t use progressive due to depth perception loss. Can use distance glasses and then presbyopia drops for reading.
5. Youthfulness from not having to wear bifocals or progressives

How does VUITY work?

The VUITY eye drop works by reducing your pupil size. It contracts certain muscles in the eye to help you see up close. Patients typically gain 3 or more lines of vision.
