Loren Rude, O.D.

Dr. Loren Rude is an experienced and innovative optometrist with over 25 years in ophthalmic care, surgical co-management, and medical education. In his most recent role, he served as a Medical Science Liaison with Alcon, where he collaborated with surgeons and key opinion leaders to advance clinical understanding of cataract and refractive technologies.

Dr. Rude has held leadership roles in both private practice and surgical centers, helping launch multiple LASIK and premium cataract programs across Southern California. He has also served as a clinical director, educator, and partner at several high-volume refractive practices, where he built strong networks with referring optometrists and consistently enhanced patient outcomes.

A frequent lecturer at professional education events, Dr. Rude has presented on advanced intraocular lenses (IOLs), meibomian gland dysfunction, and emerging technologies in surgical eye care. His work as a clinical researcher includes participation in multiple FDA and Phase 4 studies involving dry eye, corneal treatments, and refractive surgery.

Known for his collaborative approach and patient-centered care, Dr. Rude is passionate about creating seamless partnerships between optometrists and ophthalmologists to deliver exceptional outcomes.
