Tony Mai, M.D.
DLV Vision is pleased to welcome Anthony “Tony” Mai, M.D., a glaucoma and cataract specialist, to our physician team beginning April 2026. Dr. Mai provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment for patients with glaucoma and cataract concerns, helping individuals protect their vision and improve visual clarity through personalized care.
Education, Certification, and Background
Dr. Mai graduated summa cum laude from UCLA and earned Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism distinctions in medical school. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Utah’s Moran Eye Center, where he serves as adjunct faculty, mentoring future ophthalmologists.
He has participated in global health initiatives in Tanzania, Guatemala, Mexico, India, Vietnam, and with the Navajo Nation, focusing on education and surgical training. Dr. Mai is fluent in Vietnamese and proficient in Spanish.
Outside of medicine, he is “radically curious” by nature and enjoys crafting self-made cocktails, pour-over coffee, meditation, outdoor exploration, and snowboarding.
